Behold the "royal carriage of the first rank" belonging to China's first emperor Qinshihuang, crafted more than 2,000 years ago – a set of Bronze Chariots and Horses, now housed in the Bronze Chariots and Horses Museum in Xi'an, Shaanxi Province. The first chariot in the set is drawn by four bronze steeds, with a standing charioteer inside the carriage beneath an imposing bronze canopy. In the second, a charioteer kneels in the front compartment, while the rear serves as the imperial compartment for the emperor. Through the exquisitely wrought artifacts, visitors may catch a glimpse of the sophisticated craftsmanship and solemn ceremonial traditions of the Qin Dynasty (221-206 BC), and bear witness to the resplendence of that ancient civilization.
