BEIJING -- The Lunar New Year for 2024 marks the Year of the Dragon, a legendary creature believed to be the most auspicious of the 12 Chinese zodiac signs. An important cultural symbol of China, the dragon appears in many artistic creations.

Beijing's Palace Museum is home to one of the world's most impressive collections of Chinese ceramics. Check out some of its ceramic treasures featuring the dragon motif.
