In his proposal, Ding said a global intellectual property trading platform should be built to cover key sectors such as cultural and creative IP, chips, digital music and movies. This platform, with a clear and fair pricing system and complete after-sales service, will stimulate innovation and creativity in society, he said.
Ding also said the country should give full play to China's strength in sodium resources to develop sodium-ion batteries, a relatively new type of rechargeable battery similar to the commonly used lithium-ion battery. It could enhance China's independence in new energy supply, he added.
